Hunting in Free State, Harrismith, South Africa

Hunting in Free State, Harrismith, South Africa - Overview

When hunting in the Free State close to Harrismith, hunting takes place on Drom and Suné's own private property: a beautiful farm. Usually the hunters will go out night hunting with spotlights to hunt duiker and steenbuck. These bucks are native to the area as there are many soya bean and corn plantations.

In turn, we hunt critters such as jackal and caracal, who also make this their home due to Drom farming with cattle and sheep. Also available are porcupine, spring hare, mongoose and African wildcat.

When hunting close to Harrismith in the Free State, activities for non-hunters include a wildlife sanctuary, trips to the picturesque town of Clarens and educational trips to the Basotho Cultural Village, where you can experience the vibrant cultures of some of our local tribes.
